Aleksandra Zofia Szmyd was born on March 21st, 1992 in Krosno.Since childhood she has been involved with music. As a 6-year-old she started the piano lessons in the Pro Musica Private School of Music in Krosno on an elementary level. She graduated with honors in 2011 from the singing class, secondary level. She continued playing the piano in the Charter School of Music in Krosno, secondary level, also graduating with honors in 2011. She is currently a student at Voice and Drama Faculty at the Academy of Music in Kraków in the class of Mr Ryszard Karczykowski and also a student of Law Faculty at Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
She has been an active participant in many voice classes conducted among others by prof. Ryszard Karczykowski, prof. Jadwiga Romańska, prof. Bożena Harasimowicz. Aleksandra was repeatedly awarded as a pianist and vocalist. Among her most important awards there are: Gold medal in the pianist contest “Musicale de France” in Paris (2004), Grand Prix in All-Poland Festival „Kiepura Fest” in Sosnowiec (2011), where she presented her own score, 3rd place in the International Giulio Perotti Singing Competition in Germany (2013). She also received the Mayor of Krosno's annual award, given in recognition of artistic service to the city (2012). With her talent she helped the handicapped, for example by participating in the Film Music Soirée for Jasiek Mela Foundation Poza Horyzonty (“Beyond Horizons”). In 2014 she was the main soloist in “Diversity Rock Opera” concert which was held in Kraków Opera House. In 2015 she received the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements in the field of vocalism.
