Aleksandra as Alcina in the masterpiece of Dmitry Bertman

Alcina Opera

Aleksandra played the title role during the unique evening of the premiere of "Alcina" opera seria by George Frideric Händel in the MuTh Vienna directed by masterful Russian director Dmitry Bertman.

This thrilling production was prepared by Musik und Kunst and magnificent creators from all over the world. Spectators had the opportunity to admire the unique choreography created by Edvard Smirnov. The orchestra was led with extraordinary grace and sensitivity by Maestro Niels Muus.

Bertman created an extremely modern vision of this opera, however keeping all the key elements of the work. The extraordinary interpretation of this work perfectly fits into the breathtaking modernist scenery created by Hartmut Schörghofer.

The staging was splendidly received by the Viennese audience, as demonstrated by the long standing ovation.
